Porcelain has always been synonymous with the nation of China. Chinese porcelain occupies a preeminent position in the world. Traditional firing technology of Longquan Celadon is a handicraft that involves skills and artistry in its production. Alvaro, a foreign language expert working for People's Daily Online Spanish Edition, took us to Longquan in China's Zhejiang Province where we experienced the unique skills in the making of Longquan Celadon. Here, we learned about the selection of Celadon raw materials, glazing, modeling and firing in traditional dragon kilns with several porcelain masters. After several days of careful study, Alvaro completed his own piece of Celadon which he intends to bring it back to Spain to present to his friends. Will they like his gift?
