2025 China Internet Civilization Conference kicks off in E China's Anhui

(ECNS) -- The 2025 China Internet Civilization Conference (CICC) opened on Tuesday in Hefei, east China's Anhui Province, marking the first time the event has been held in the Yangtze River Delta.

Themed on gathering positive energy online and fostering new trends of the times, the two-day event consists of an opening ceremony, a main forum, 14 sub-forums, and themed events showcasing sci-tech achievements and innovations.

At the main forum on the opening day, organizers released a selection of outstanding cases in online civilization development and a youth initiative on promoting internet civility. The event also launched the month of 2025 nationwide digital literacy and skills improvement.

Experts, heads of major central news websites, representatives from leading enterprises, influential online figures, and youth delegates delivered keynote speeches at the conference.

The conference is jointly held by the Office of the Central Cyberspace Affairs Commission and the Central Commission for Guiding Cultural and Ethical Progress, along with Anhui provincial authorities.
